Charleston School of Law ("CSOL") is committed to protecting the privacy and security of all users of this Resource Portal.
Information We Collect
When you use this portal, we may collect your CSOL email address and name (via Microsoft 365 authentication), chat messages and queries submitted to the AI assistant, session data for conversation continuity, and usage analytics (pages visited, features used, response feedback).
How We Use Your Information
Your information is used solely to provide and improve portal services, deliver personalized responses based on your role (student, faculty, staff), maintain conversation history for follow-up questions, generate aggregate analytics to improve the system, and provide role-appropriate access to resources and attendance data.
Data Storage & Security
All data is stored on secure Microsoft Azure infrastructure. Chat conversations are encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to user data is restricted to authorized IT personnel. We do not sell, share, or distribute personal information to third parties.
Data Retention
Chat conversations are retained for the current academic year to support ongoing interactions. Users may request deletion of their conversation history by contacting IT Support.
Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting ITSupport@charlestonlaw.edu.
